Question to the Department for International Development:
To ask the Secretary of State for International Development, how much funding the Government plans to allocate to the International Citizen Service programme in each of the next five years.

DFID has allocated a budget of over £8.5 million to the International Citizen Service for the 2019/20 financial year. The planned budget for the following four financial years is yet to be confirmed.

To ask the Secretary of State for International Development, what estimate her Department has made of the number of young people that will take part in the International Citizen Service in each of the next five years.

It is anticipated that 1,134 volunteers will take part in the International Citizen Service during 2019. The planned numbers of volunteers for the following four years are yet to be confirmed.
