Question to the Northern Ireland Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland, how much land her Department has released for the purpose of building new homes since May 2010.

Answered by Andrew Murrison

The Department is responsible for the land at Hillsborough Castle, although the deeds are held by the Department for Communities and Local Government. The Department owns no land and therefore cannot release any land for the purpose of building new homes.
