Tuesday 22nd November 2016

Asked by: James Duddridge (Conservative - Rochford and Southend East)

Question to the Ministry of Justice:

To ask the Secretary of State for Justice, when her Department plans to make a decision on the entrustment to facilitate a trade agreement between Jersey and Rwanda.

Answered by Oliver Heald

The Ministry of Justice has received a request from the Government of Jersey for a letter of entrustment to negotiate bilateral investment treaties with third countries. We are currently consulting other Government Departments on this request and will provide a response to the Government of Jersey in due course.
