Anyone else want to join me in backing this? Tom Paine was an amazing writer, thinker and campaigner - and too little known. https://t.co/RIQ9dZccVO
@romankrznaric @kickstarter @AnthonyBarnett Thanks for the recommendation - an excellent project! I've previously done a Tom Paine-themed sponsored bike ride for @libertyhq, and am a huge fan!
How are you sleeping? Would you like to sleep better? Would you like your baby to sleep better? Do you want to know about the economic cost of poor sleeping? Interested in the science and research behind sleep? Then we have events for you!!! All free and open to all! https://t.co/kZA5wUkhtV
This is a good point. I haven't yet seen anyone argue against removing tributes to Jimmy Savile, even though the same arguments would apply that it is history. Anyone want to argue that once a memorial is up, it must stay up? https://t.co/C0Wvqw7vCI
If you have a consumer DNA test, and it suggests you have a rare condition, make sure to have proper clinical validation before you consider doing anything! There's a good write up of this work at https://t.co/2rKq0zyRLd
This is a really important finding. Most consumer DNA tests are not reliable, especially for rarer conditions. If they predict you have a rare gene variant, such as for cancer, then you probably, erm, don't. They're better with common variants though. https://t.co/lOK5SqJhQk
Some interesting developer jobs going at @BoutrosBear - anyone interested? https://t.co/6JZ5MLb50X
@MLBrook Happy anniversary!
@MarishaRayLD @Humanists_UK I've never encountered this, but it would clearly be unacceptable. NB in some disciplines, last author is the lead person!
This should be well worth listening to!!! @DrClareChambers' book 'Against Marriage' is really interesting and thought-provoking. Ultimately, I don't agree with all of the conclusions, but much of it is right and it certainly made me think. https://t.co/h9sEeKJd0e
