Beautiful song to end the night, in its original version by the Five Stairsteps. “Ooh child / Things'll get brighter /Some day, yeah / We'll put it together and we'll get it undone.” Sweet dreams. ? https://t.co/ObbmUdn0wj

These were my last few words at a great hustings at Lanchester Cricket Club tonight: "It has been a sharp learning curve since 2017...but one thing hasn't changed - and that is my unwavering faith in other humans and my absolute optimism that things can change." #VoteLabour https://t.co/BNPJstDf95

Thanks to all the @UKLabour members who have kept up the impetus & continued to get around the constituency to talk to residents about Labour’s ideas & policies. You really are the heartbeat of this campaign. Only 2 more full days of campaigning before polling day. Let’s do this! https://t.co/E7uMfHiGBN

A very enjoyable hustings tonight, with great questions. Thanks to the other candidates for the respectful discussion & thanks to @LanchesterCC for hosting it. It’s a big undertaking for them, but so important that we have these meetings, so public can come & hold us to account. https://t.co/4QOW6NJ3oA

In the last 2 years, I've talked to thousands of people & I know many of them feel powerless. There's a real feeling in our communities that nothing can change. But they can. We have the chance to change everything on Thursday. Politics should facilitate the power of the people. https://t.co/Y5ayyoHF4k

Great turnout from our amazing activists once again for the Consett door knocking session this morning. Lots of Labour voters & very positive conversations, including some children very excited about going with their parents to the polling station on Thursday! We can do this. https://t.co/Q0PQJ3klYu

Maybe we don't all use the buses, but imagine if buses were really brilliant, zero emissions & cheaper, like they are in many other European countries? There would be fewer cars on the roads and we would all reap the benefits, including that of combating climate breakdown. (4/5)

Only a vote for a bold @UKLabour that is committed to #RealChange will make this happen: bringing buses into local, public control, increasing routes & reducing costs for those who need public transport. #VoteLabour for our future. (5/5)
