Question to the Department for International Development:

To ask the Secretary of State for International Development, under what circumstances the Government would consider increasing the percentage of GDP allocated to official development assistance above 0.7 per cent.

In line with the International Development (Official Development Assistance Target) Act 2015 the government allocates sufficient funding to deliver the commitment to spend 0.7% of GNI in each calendar year.

To ask the Secretary of State for International Development, what the value of projects delivered on the ground in Kashmir as a result of her Department's work has been in the last five years.

Pakistan Administered Kashmir benefits from national programmes in Pakistan to promote economic growth and improve education and health services. DFID no longer funds any national programmes in India and therefore India Administered Kashmir does not currently receive assistance from DFID. DFID does not routinely measure total expenditure directed to sub-national geographies outside our focal states or provinces. DFID may also respond to government requests for humanitarian assistance in India and Pakistan Administered Kashmir, including through DFID funded UN agencies.
