Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health, how many full-time equivalent officials in his Department work on the availability of off-patent drugs to be used in new indications.

These issues are relevant to the responsibilities of a number of officials in the Department and in the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency. The amount of official time spent on such issues is not fixed and will vary.
