To ask the Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, what the total allocation of funding is for local growth deals in 2020-21.

Levelling up is central to the Government’s agenda and we are working with local leaders to ensure that every region, city, and town will effectively recover from Covid-19.
As part of this, £1,243,604,030 is being allocated through the Local Growth Fund for local growth deals in 2020 to 2021.

The study referred to in the answer given by my rt. hon. Friend the Chief Secretary to the Treasury on 13 December 2018 to Question 200617 is the Engineering, Design, and Development Phase that is developing options for a UK Global Navigation Satellite System.
This in-depth study is being run by the UK Space Agency, as an Executive Agency of the Department of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy.

The annual running costs of the proposed GNSS will be assessed as part of the Engineering, Design and Development Phase (EDDP) which is currently underway.
