To ask the Secretary of State for Wales, how many consultants his Department has hired in each year since 2016; and what the cost has been to the public purse.

Answered by Nigel Adams

The Office of the Secretary of State for Wales has spent £17,400 on one external consultant in 2019. The Office hired no other consultants in any other year since 2016.

The Office of the Secretary of State for Wales has no public consultations open or closed awaiting a government response. The Office has published one consultation since 2016, on reducing toll prices on the Severn Crossings. The Office published this consultation jointly with the Department for Transport.
