Increase local government grants and ring-fenced funding for young people's services such as mental health support and extra-curricular activities such as free youth and leisure centres. The Government should consult with younger people to help decide what to spend the money on. Having these opportunities might guide young people away from crime, so provide support for young people in high crime areas.
