AI image generators are becoming easier to access and use, meaning that campaigns could decide to use generated images to falsely claim things about their candidates.

The government should update election laws so voters can be sure that all images and videos are not created using AI.

Using AI images may create realistic images that portray individuals committing certain acts (like feeding the poor) that the individual has not actually done, in order to put them in a more positive light.

There is already evidence of AI images showing actions and events that did not happen being used in an apparent attempt to sway voters. We think the Government should not allow these images to be used in campaigning.
