Question to the Department for Transport:
To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, what assessment has he made of the impact on the airline sector of the introduction of a mandatory alternative dispute resolution scheme in that sector.
The Government remains absolutely committed to ensuring consumers are protected when travelling by air. As announced in both the Global Travel Taskforce report in April, and the recent announcement by the Government on Regulatory reforms, we will consult on additional, flexible and modern tools to enforce consumer rights. This consultation will provide further evidence to assess measures for supporting dispute resolution.
