Question to the Ministry of Defence:

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, whether the Infrastructure Projects Authority has previously reported on standalone defence programmes.

Yes. The Infrastructure and Projects Authority (IPA) routinely undertake Assurance Reviews of many of our major projects and programmes in accordance with the individual programme’s integrated assurance and approvals plan. A report is produced at the end of each review for the Ministry of Defence’s Permanent Under Secretary (the Departmental Accounting Officer) and Senior Responsible Owner containing recommendations for consideration and implementation.
