Armed Forces: Huntington's Disease

Question to the Ministry of Defence:
To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, pursuant to the Answer of 2 November to Question 70978 on Armed Forces: Huntington’s Disease, when the ban for those at risk of developing Huntington's disease from serving in the Armed Forces was introduced.
This question was answered on 12th December 2022
Huntington's disease was documented in the current format of occupational medical guidance, JSP 950 Leaflet 6-7-7 in August 2016. A similar position was taken in historical policy that pre-dates the current format.
