Question to the Ministry of Justice:

To ask the Secretary of State for Justice, what discussions he has had with third sector organisations in the criminal justice sector on (a) his Department’s submissions to the Comprehensive Spending Review 2021 and (b) the overall size of his Department’s spending allocation within the Comprehensive Spending Review 2021.

The Chancellor of the Exchequer has not yet confirmed the scope and nature of the Comprehensive Spending Review 2021. In anticipation, the department has recently begun preparations for the Spending Review and will be considering the approach to engaging with external stakeholders over the coming months.

The department continues to engage regularly with key stakeholders, in which other relevant matters and funding more generally are discussed.
