The Health and Care Bill establishes statutory integrated care boards (ICBs) with responsibility for the planning and commissioning of health services in their area. ICBs must provide a comprehensive health service, including therapeutic recovery services where appropriate. We have also accepted an amendment to the Bill requiring ICBs and partners to set out proposals to address the needs of victims of abuse, including children.

The NHS Long Term Plan and the Five-Year Strategic Direction for Sexual Assault and Abuse Services (SAAS) set out our ambition to improve access to services for all victims and survivors of sexual abuse, including children. Paediatric SAAS provisions are jointly funded across Government and are commissioned to ensure the complex needs of child victims can be met.
