Question to the Ministry of Defence:
To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, what assessment has been made of impact of the closure of Army Reserve centres on levels of recruitment.

I refer the hon. Member to the answer I gave on the 18 July 2017 to Question 4377 to the hon. Member for Blaenau Gwent (Mr Smith). We continue to make good progress with recruitment into the Army Reserve. The total strength of the Army Reserve was 30,140 as at 1 August 2017, which is an increase of 960 since 1 August 2016.
