The Government has committed to the removal of reinforced autoclaved aerated concrete (RAAC) from the National Health Service estate by 2035 and protecting patient and staff safety in the interim. We have allocated £685 million to mitigate the risks and are working with the worst affected trusts to determine how to eradicate RAAC, including replacing two hospitals in the New Hospital Programme.
