Question to the Ministry of Defence:

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, how many (a) Royal Navy/Marines, (b) British Army, and (c) RAF personnel are officially held on short notice to move periods in support of the NHS.

The Ministry of Defence maintains a force at readiness of 30 days or less for a range of winter resilience tasks and contingent operations, including for support to the COVID response across the UK, and to help to alleviate pressures within the NHS.
