Question to the Ministry of Justice:

To ask the Secretary of State for Justice, how many outstanding Crown Court criminal cases had been incomplete for more than a year as of 1 January in of each of the last five years.

The table below shows the latest published data on the number of outstanding cases in the Crown Courts in England and Wales. This data can be found on the criminal court statistics information page.

The age of an outstanding case is calculated from the point of receipt into the Crown Court and the end of the reporting period.
