Question to the Ministry of Justice:

To ask the Secretary of State for Justice, whether he plans to bring forward legislative proposals to make up-skirting a sexual offence.

I am determined to ensure that the intrusive practice of up-skirting is tackled robustly: there should be no doubt that such acts are unacceptable and illegal. It is encouraging to see that such distressing behaviour has been successfully prosecuted on a number of occasions and my officials are reviewing the existing offences - some of which carry an unlimited prison sentence - to ensure they remain appropriate.
