In England, provision of healthcare for stroke thrombectomy is the responsibility of NHS England. Local integrated care systems (ICSs) cannot determine whether thrombectomy for stroke patients is available. Thrombectomy is available in 24 centres in England. The Integrated Stroke Delivery Network is now operational, bringing together stakeholders to deliver whole pathway transformation across ICSs.
