Since President Trump's announcement of his decision not to re-certify the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action to Congress, we have engaged with our international partners, including the US, the EU and Iran, to examine the implications. The Prime Minister spoke to President Trump in advance of his announcement, and had conversations with European partners at the European Council on 19 October. The Foreign Secretary spoke to Iranian Foreign Minister Zarif and US Deputy Secretary of State Sullivan on 13 October, and discussed the issue with EU partners at the Foreign Affairs Council on 17 October.
