Question to the Department for Work and Pensions:

To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, how many letters his Department has issued asking people to have their state pension or benefits paid into a bank, building society or credit union account rather than a Post Office account.

Since September 2015 the Department has written to around 900,000 DWP, HMRC and Department for Communities (DfC) Post Office card account users about receiving their pension or benefit payments into a bank, building society or credit union account
