Question to the Ministry of Defence:
To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, what steps he is taking to deal with reports of HMS Vigilant crew members testing positive for class A drugs.

The Ministry of Defence and the Naval Service have a very robust anti-drugs policy and will not tolerate the misuse of drugs by Service personnel. The nine members of HMS VIGILANT's ship's company who tested positive for illegal drugs have been discharged from the Naval Service.
In addition, the Royal Navy is to conduct increased Compulsory Drug Testing of the Submarine Flotilla.
