Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what discussions his Department has had with NHS England on the potential merits of publishing a breathlessness pathway to support people with respiratory illnesses.

We have had no specific discussions. However, a national multidisciplinary expert group is developing a pre-diagnostic breathlessness pathway guide to support timely and appropriate diagnosis for patients presenting with non-acute breathlessness. The guide will be published in due course.
