Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:
To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, pursuant to the Answer of 30 November 2022 to Question 94748 on Glaucoma: Health Services, if he will make an assessment of potential cost reductions for the health and care services of early surgical intervention in the treatment of glaucoma.
This question was answered on 20th December 2022
There are no plans to make a specific assessment. The most appropriate treatment options for any individual will be decided by the relevant clinician in discussion with the patient.
