Question to the Ministry of Defence:

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, what criteria there are in the Government's procurement policy on providing social value.

In September 2020, the Cabinet Office published Procurement Policy Note (PPN) 06/20 covering social value benefits.

The Ministry of Defence has implemented PPN 06/20 which defines the social value themes and model award criteria to be used in relevant government procurements. The Model requires a minimum of 10% of the total tender evaluation weighting to be allocated to specified social value criteria. The Model and associated guidance note can be accessed on the gov.uk website:
