The Foreign Secretary and I have frequent discussions with our Turkish counterparts on a wide range of human rights issues. Furthermore, our Embassy in Turkey is supporting projects to monitor the freedom of the press and LGBT rights there. Embassy officials also regularly attend human rights-related trials as observers.
