Question to the HM Treasury:

To ask Mr Chancellor of the Exchequer, what estimate he has made of the number of buy-to-let mortgages authorised in each of the last 10 years.

There have been 2 million buy-to-let mortgages taken out over the last 10 years. These figures are collected by the Council of Mortgage Lenders, on a quarterly basis and are publically available.
