Question to the Department for Education:

To ask the Secretary of State for Education, how many applications have been made for education, health and care plans in (a) the UK, (b) Greater London and (c) the London Borough of Newham in 2017.

The number of children and young people assessed for an education, health and care plan for England, by region and by local authority, are available on the department’s website.

The latest data is available for the 2016 calendar year and can be viewed in table 7 via: https://www.gov.uk/government/statistics/statements-of-sen-and-ehc-plans-england-2017. This data only applies to regions within England.
