The electoral register has been steadily increasing since the introduction of Individual Electoral Registration in 2014, and the register used for the 2017 General Election was the highest in our history, standing at 46.9 million entries. Specific data, including data for regional and local levels of registration, are reported annually by the Office of National Statistics on its website.
