Question to the Ministry of Defence:
To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, how many RAF personnel were deployed overseas in the (a) 2012-13, (b) 2013-14, (c) 2014-15, (d) 2015-16 and (e) 2016-17 financial years.

The number of RAF personnel deployed overseas in each financial year (FY) since 2012-13 is:

Deployment refers to Military personnel who are deployed on operations for a period of 24 hours or more, excluding all personnel on overseas training exercises and those whose permanent stationed location is outside the UK.
