Question to the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy:
To ask the Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, what steps he is taking to improve the effectiveness of ombudsman services in the consumer markets; and if he will make a statement.
The Government recognises the importance of effective Alternative Dispute Resolution, including ombudsmen, in consumer markets.
The Government will be publishing a Consumer Green Paper that will tackle areas where markets are not working for consumers and business.
