Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:
To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, how much his Department spent on (a) the prototype dental contract reform programme and (b) the first stage of dental contract reform.
The Department administered the prototype dental contract reform programme through the NHS Business Services Authority. This programme was used to provide National Health Service treatment that would otherwise have been provided through existing dental services.
Spend on revenue and capital for the prototype dental contract reform programme is summarised in the table below.

Data is not yet available for spend on the first stages of dental contract reform, announced in July 2022, as this is currently in the implementation phase.
