To ask the Minister for the Cabinet Office, with reference to the Answer of 18 March 2026 to Question 118531 on Peers, whether the Governance Code on Public Appointments applies to the appointment of peers to the House of Lords.

The Governance Code on Public Appointments does not apply to the appointment of peers to the House of Lords.
