Question to the Department for Education:

To ask the Secretary of State for Education, pursuant to the Answer of 12 December to Question 117219, for what reasons the Minister did not answer if her Department has set a target for the number of apprenticeship starts in the year after the introduction of the Apprenticeship Levy.

The department wants to allow the market to evolve towards the 2020 target of 3 million apprenticeship starts and so we have not set targets for the number of starts each year.
