Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what steps he is taking to increase the social care workforce in (a) Liverpool, West Derby constituency, (b) the Liverpool City Region and (c) the North West.

Local authorities should work with care providers to meet care needs in their area. We have announced a £500 million discharge fund for this winter that can be used flexibly by local areas to speed up safe discharge and support workforce capacity.
