The Government has published two position papers on civil and criminal justice that makes clear that continued effective frameworks in these areas are an important part of the deep and special partnership we want to establish with the EU. It is in the interests of the UK and the EU that there continue to be effective frameworks in these areas after we leave. The exact nature of these frameworks is the subject of negotiations with our EU partners.
