Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, if he will publish guidance on how responsibility for commissioning dental services will transfer from NHS England to integrated care boards.

NHS England is responsible for commissioning primary care dentistry to meet the needs of the local population. Many of these functions will transfer to integrated care boards (ICBs) from April 2023, who will work with commissioners and providers. NHS England’s assurance framework has been developed to support ICBs with the transfer of commissioning responsibilities, including National Health Service dentistry.
