Military Units routinely educate and remind personnel of the dangers and risks of spiking, including through mandatory training courses which include material on substance misuse.

The Royal Navy recorded 48 reports of alleged spiking in 2023.

The Army recorded 62 allegations of spiking in 2023, all of which were made by personnel who had tested positive in Compulsory Drug Tests.

The Royal Air Force hold no relevant information.

All Royal Navy units, including ships, have on average two urine test kits routinely available. Test kits for drink spiking are not routinely available on Army or Royal Air Force establishments.
