Question to the HM Treasury:
To ask Mr Chancellor of the Exchequer, what proportion of properties in (a) London, and (b) the UK have been bought through shared ownership in each of the last five years; and in what proportion of the transactions for such purchases the purchaser paid Stamp Duty Land Tax on the full market value of the property rather than on the percentage of the property that they were buying.
The requested information is not held. Purchasers are not required to state on the Stamp Duty Land Tax return whether or not the property is bought through shared ownership.
