Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, what discussions she has had with the Secretary of State for Transport and representatives of International Civil Aviation Organization on the (a) security, (b) safety and (c) availability of international overflight routes transiting Ukraine, Belarus and Russia.

Officials in DfT and FCDO have been in close contact over the security and safety of regional airspace over Ukraine, Belarus and Russia and will continue to work closely with the International Civil Aviation Organisation as necessary on this. UK carriers keep their contingency planning arrangements under review.
