Question to the Ministry of Justice:
To ask the Secretary of State for Justice, how many staff in his Department worked on monitoring the delivery of contracts for prison maintenance by private sector companies in (a) 2015, (b) 2016 and (c) 2017.

The number of staff working (by Full Time Equivalent) on monitoring the delivery of contracts for prison maintenance by private sector companies is as follows:
a) 2015: 95
b) 2016: 98
c) 2017: 97
