Question to the Ministry of Justice:

To ask the Secretary of State for Justice, pursuant to the Answer of 27 February 2017 to Question 64306, on Legal costs, whether the review of the Legal Aid, Sentencing and Punishment of Offenders Act 2012 will include a public consultation.

The former Lord Chancellor previously announced the beginning of a Post-Implementation Review of the legal aid changes made by the Legal Aid, Sentencing and Punishment of Offenders Act 2012 (LASPO).

As the former Lord Chancellor stated we are keen to hear from a range of interested parties and experts as part of the review process. I am currently considering the most effective approach.
