Question to the Ministry of Justice:
To ask the Secretary of State for Justice, which authority oversees the work of the Legal Ombudsman.
This question was answered on 26th January 2018
Part 6 of the Legal Services Act (2007) establishes the Office for Legal Complaints (OLC), which administers the Legal Ombudsman Scheme. It is overseen by the Legal Services Board, established by the same Act, and the Ministry of Justice as its sponsor Department.
