Our orchestras are rightly regarded as among the best in the world, and are great cultural ambassadors for the UK.

The Government recognises that orchestras play an important role in promoting cultural exchange, taking conductors and musicians from the UK around the world and performing to global audiences. Orchestras also attract international composers and musicians to the UK to perform for British audiences.
