Question to the Ministry of Defence:

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, pursuant to the Answer of 23 January 2018 to Question 123707, on Warships: Shipbuilding, if he will place a copy of his Department's internal research on the socio-economic effects of government-supported shipbuilding that was referred to in the Parker report and the National Shipbuilding Strategy in the Library.

Internal economic analysis was produced by the Ministry of Defence to support the National Ship Building Strategy (NSBS).The conclusions of the research were summarised in the published NSBS strategy document. The underpinning research contains commercially sensitive information, which will need to be redacted before it is published. As soon as this has been completed I will place a copy in the Library of the House.
