Question to the Home Office:
To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, what the home countries were of the people who were granted asylum on the basis of being illegally trafficked for each the last five years for which figures are available.
The Home Office does not record the specific parts of the countries from which asylum claimants originate. Therefore, we cannot identify how many asylum claims have been granted or refused leave from specific parts of the countries of origin.
Published data relating to the outcomes of asylum claims from each country can be found in tab as_01 at volume 1 of the quarterly Immigration Statistics release:
