Question to the Ministry of Justice:
To ask the Secretary of State for Justice, how the post-implementation review of the Legal Aid, Sentencing and Punishment of Offenders Act 2012 will be conducted.
This question was answered on 6th February 2018
The Post-Implementation Review shall focus on the major changes to the legislative framework for legal aid which were introduced as part of the Legal Aid, Sentencing and Punishment of Offenders Act 2012 and subsequently.
As part of the review we will be reaching out to experts and interested parties in the relevant fields to inform the evidence gathering process.
